About us

An independent funding and grant-support organisation

An independent funding and grant-support organisation.

Our mission

We exist to make funding more reachable for organisations and individuals doing worthwhile work. That means more than listing opportunities: it means explaining how funding decisions are made, what a strong application looks like, and where an applicant is likely to fall short.

We combine four functions in one place — a foundation running its own funding programmes, a professional grant-support service, a searchable opportunity directory, and a community where applicants and practitioners learn together.

How we work with people

We are here to always help people. We never charge fees contingent on an award, and we focus entirely on helping you understand opportunities, prepare strong materials and move forward with confidence.

Where we do administer funding ourselves, we say so clearly and publish the criteria and assessment process before applications open.

Our values

What guides our decisions

Transparency

Criteria, processes and limitations are published. We never imply influence we do not have.

Access

Funding knowledge should not be limited to organisations that can afford a fundraising team.

Practicality

Everything we publish should help someone take a concrete next step on an application.

Community

Applicants learn fastest from each other. We create the space for that exchange.
